“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

George Bernard Shaw

"Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change - this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress."

Bruce Barton

“I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.”

Georg C. Lichtenberg

”Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.”

Sydney J. Harris

“Change before you have to.”

Jack Welch

Effective January 1, 2014 Erickson-Larsen, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN has purchased the general agency rights to the renewals of policies written through The InterAgency (Blackburn, Nickels and Smith, Inc.). This includes mainly policies placed through:

Capitol Companies
CNA
Zurich
Hartford Steam
Great American
Windsor
Philadelphia
Travelers (The Travelers policies involved are D&O, E&O, Professional Liability Only)

“This is a unique opportunity for us,” Jennifer Larsen, President of Erickson-Larsen, Inc. said. “Our clients will continue to work with the same underwriter, in that we have hired Di Gast. In addition, since we share many of the same markets, we expect The InterAgency’s clients will experience a seamless transition.”

"We believe our organizations share the same values,” Jim Holm, President of The InterAgency said. “We conducted an extensive search, but in the end it was our respect for the excellent service, outstanding expertise, and integrity we’ve seen for decades at E&L that drove our decision. We will continue to own and operate Insurance Partners, which has been our standard lines brokerage since 1989.”

"Jim and I have known each other for four decades and have competed on a daily basis for most of that time,” Merwyn Larsen, CEO of Erickson-Larsen, Inc. said.

"We’re grateful for the support we have received over the years in the four-state area,” Holm said, “and pleased to be able to concentrate on the ongoing development of Insurance Partners.”
